Brentford Football Club is seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our scouting team as an Academy Scout. As an integral part of our talent identification process, you will be responsible for identifying and recruiting talented young footballers to join our academy. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of future football stars and play a key role in shaping the future success of Brentford FC.

Responsibilities:

• Attend local, regional, and national football matches to identify talented young players who have the potential to join the Brentford FC academy.
• Build relationships with local grassroots clubs, schools, and youth football leagues to identify and nurture talent.
• Evaluate player performance and potential, providing detailed scouting reports to the academy coaching staff.
• Collaborate with the academy coaching staff to assess player suitability and potential for development within the Brentford FC academy structure.
• Keep detailed records of player assessments, match reports, and scouting activities.
• Assist with the organization and coordination of trial events and talent identification initiatives.
• Stay informed about developments in youth football and scouting methodologies, continuously seeking opportunities to enhance your scouting skills and knowledge.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in football scouting or talent identification, preferably within a professional football club or academy setting.
• Strong knowledge of football talent identification principles and scouting techniques.
• Excellent observational skills, with the ability to assess player potential and performance accurately.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with players, coaches, and other stakeholders.
• A flexible schedule with the ability to attend matches and scouting events on evenings and weekends.
• Passion for youth development and a commitment to providing opportunities for young players to reach their full potential.
