IKEA Sheffield is seeking a dedicated Warehouse Team Leader to join our dynamic and fast-paced environment. As a key member of our logistics team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse operations and delivering exceptional service to our customers.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and motivate a team of warehouse co-workers to achieve daily operational targets and KPIs, including inbound and outbound goods handling, stock replenishment, and order picking.
- Coordinate and prioritize daily tasks and allocate resources effectively to ensure the timely and accurate processing of goods and orders.
- Monitor and review warehouse processes and workflows to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions to optimize efficiency and productivity.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and IKEA standards, including maintaining a clean, safe, and organized working environment.
- Support the development and training of warehouse co-workers, providing guidance, coaching, and feedback to help them succeed in their roles.
- Collaborate with other departments, including logistics, sales, and customer service, to ensure seamless coordination and communication across the store.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment, preferably in a leadership or supervisory role.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and inspire teams to achieve common goals.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail and a proactive approach to managing challenges.
- Sound knowledge of warehouse operations, including inventory management, order processing, and health and safety procedures.
- Effective communication skills with the ability to liaise with colleagues at all levels and build positive working relationships.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required by the needs of the business.
