Job Description:
As a Customer Assistant at Tesco, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our customers have a positive shopping experience. Whether you are working on the shop floor, at the checkout, or in the warehouse, you will be responsible for providing friendly and efficient service to our customers. This role involves various tasks, including helping customers find products, processing transactions, stocking shelves, and maintaining a clean and tidy store environment.
Responsibilities:
  • Greet customers and provide assistance with finding products or answering queries.
  • Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently at the checkout.
  • Replenish stock on the shop floor, ensuring that shelves are well-stocked and neatly organized.
  • Ensure that the store is clean and tidy at all times, including cleaning spills and emptying bins.
  • Assist with receiving deliveries and restocking shelves in the warehouse area.
  • Follow company policies and procedures, including health and safety guidelines.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to deliver excellent customer service and achieve store targets.
Requirements:
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Friendly and approachable demeanor with a passion for helping others.
  • Ability to work well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Previous retail experience is desirable but not essential.
