In this role, you will be responsible for delivering mail and parcels to residential and business addresses in the local area. Your duties will include:

• Sorting and preparing mail and parcels for delivery routes.
• Driving a Royal Mail delivery vehicle to deliver mail and parcels to designated addresses on your route.
• Providing excellent customer service by delivering mail and parcels accurately, efficiently, and courteously.
• Collecting and returning undelivered mail and parcels to the delivery office at the end of your shift.
• Following safety procedures and traffic laws while driving and delivering mail to ensure your own safety and the safety of others.
• Using handheld electronic devices to track delivery progress, record delivery attempts, and obtain recipient signatures as required.

Requirements:

• A valid UK driving license with no more than six penalty points.
• Previous experience in a similar delivery or driving role is desirable but not essential.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with customers in a professional and courteous manner.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to work efficiently and meet delivery deadlines.
• Physical fitness and stamina to walk and carry mail and parcels over extended periods.
• Flexibility to work variable shifts, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends, as required.
• Knowledge of local roads and areas within the delivery office’s jurisdiction is advantageous.
