This role is essential for maintaining the safe and efficient operation of hospital systems and equipment. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and addressing urgent repairs during day shifts to ensure continuous operation and safety standards are upheld throughout our facilities.

Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance checks and repairs on hospital equipment and infrastructure.
• Respond to emergency repair requests quickly and efficiently to minimize downtime.
• Document all maintenance activities, including repairs completed and parts used.
• Work closely with other members of the maintenance team to manage preventative maintenance schedules.
• Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations.
• Assist in the inspection and maintenance of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
• Communicate effectively with hospital staff and management regarding ongoing maintenance issues.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a maintenance technician or similar role, preferably in a healthcare setting.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, or plumbing systems.
• Relevant qualifications such as an NVQ or City & Guilds in a related field are highly desirable.
• Ability to work independently and make decisions under pressure.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
