Job Description:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and skilled Administrative Coordinator to join our Point of Care Testing (POCT) team in Birmingham. This role is essential for managing the administrative aspects of our POCT services, supporting the delivery of high-quality patient care within the NHS framework.

Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate the administrative functions of the POCT service, ensuring efficient operation and compliance with NHS standards.
  • Manage data entry, record-keeping, and reporting related to point of care tests.
  • Liaise with clinical staff and external partners to facilitate effective communication and service delivery.
  • Organize training sessions and maintain training records for all POCT staff.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of POCT policies and procedures.
  • Monitor stock levels of testing supplies and coordinate orders to ensure adequate resources.
  • Prepare and manage the scheduling of meetings, appointments, and room bookings related to POCT activities.
Requirements:
  • NVQ Level 4 in Business Administration or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience in an administrative role within a healthcare setting, preferably with exposure to point of care testing.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and healthcare management systems.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Knowledge of NHS systems and practices would be advantageous.
