Position Overview: We are seeking a friendly and reliable Customer Assistant to join our store in Southend-on-Sea on a part-time basis. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering excellent customer service, ensuring the store is well-stocked and organized, and contributing to a pleasant shopping experience for our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional customer service by assisting customers with inquiries, locating products, and offering product recommendations.
- Operate the checkout, handle transactions accurately, and ensure a smooth and efficient checkout process.
- Replenish stock on shelves, ensuring products are well-presented and labeled correctly.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the store, including aisles, displays, and checkout areas.
- Assist with inventory management, including stock checks and ordering as needed.
- Follow company policies and procedures, including health and safety regulations.
- Work collaboratively with team members to achieve store goals and targets.
Qualifications:
- Previous retail or customer service experience is preferred but not required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
- Reliable and punctual, with a strong work ethic.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Basic numeracy and literacy skills.
