Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced and motivated Warehouse Team Leader to join our team at IKEA Southampton. This role involves leading a team of warehouse staff, overseeing daily operations, and ensuring that our warehouse functions efficiently and effectively. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, excellent organizational abilities, and a commitment to operational excellence.
Responsibilities:
  • Lead and supervise the warehouse team to ensure efficient and accurate order picking, packing, and dispatching of products.
  • Coordinate daily warehouse activities, including receiving, storing, and distributing goods.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and IKEA policies.
  • Monitor and optimize warehouse processes to improve efficiency and productivity.
  • Conduct regular inventory counts and maintain accurate inventory records.
  • Operate warehouse equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks, in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Train and support warehouse staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations and resolve any issues promptly.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment.
  • Prepare and submit operational reports as required.
Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics role, with supervisory or team leader experience preferred.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Physical ability to lift and move heavy items as required.
  • Proficiency in using warehouse management systems and other relevant software.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • Must be legally eligible to work in the UK.
  • Valid forklift operator certification is a plus.
