Position Overview:
We are seeking a proactive and experienced Warehouse Operations Coordinator to join our team at IKEA Preston. This role involves overseeing daily warehouse activities, coordinating the movement of goods, and ensuring a safe and organized working environment. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, excellent organizational abilities, and a commitment to operational excellence.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and oversee daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, and dispatching products.
• Ensure efficient and accurate order picking, packing, and shipment processes.
• Supervise and support warehouse staff, providing guidance and training as needed.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and conduct regular stock counts.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and IKEA policies.
• Monitor and optimize warehouse processes to improve efficiency and productivity.
• Operate warehouse equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks, in a safe and efficient manner.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations and resolve any issues.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment.
• Prepare and submit operational reports as required.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics role, with supervisory or coordination experience preferred.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Physical ability to lift and move heavy items as required.
• Proficiency in using warehouse management systems and other relevant software.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Must be legally eligible to work in the UK.
• Valid forklift operator certification is a plus.
