Position Overview: We are seeking enthusiastic and customer-focused individuals to join our Food and Beverage team at IKEA Manchester. As a Food and Beverage Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our customers have a pleasant dining experience. This position involves various tasks, including food preparation, serving, cashiering, and maintaining the cleanliness of the dining area.
Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and serve food items in accordance with IKEA’s quality standards and recipes.
  • Provide excellent customer service, ensuring a positive dining experience for all customers.
  • Operate cash registers, handle transactions accurately, and manage cash handling procedures.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the dining area, kitchen, and workstations.
  • Follow food safety and hygiene regulations to ensure a safe dining environment.
  • Assist with inventory management, including monitoring stock levels and replenishing supplies as needed.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient operation and timely service.
  • Uphold IKEA’s values and contribute to a positive and inclusive work environment.
Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in food service or customer service is preferred but not required.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to interact positively with customers and team members.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and food safety.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Must be legally eligible to work in the UK.
