Position Overview: We are seeking a friendly and energetic Food and Beverage Assistant to join our team at IKEA Belfast. This role involves preparing and serving food, maintaining cleanliness, and providing excellent customer service. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and customer service, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and serve food and beverages according to IKEA standards and recipes.
  • Ensure the food preparation areas are clean, safe, and well-organized.
  • Provide excellent customer service, including greeting customers, taking orders, and handling inquiries.
  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the dining area, kitchen, and other food service areas.
  • Restock food and beverage items as needed and ensure proper inventory levels.
  • Operate cash registers and handle customer transactions accurately.
  • Follow health and safety regulations, including proper food handling and storage procedures.
  • Assist with setting up and closing down the restaurant and café areas.
  • Work collaboratively with team members to ensure smooth operations and a positive customer experience.
  • Participate in regular training sessions and team meetings.
Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in a food service or hospitality role is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Customer-focused with a positive attitude and willingness to go the extra mile.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
  • Basic numeracy skills and ability to operate a cash register.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Must be legally eligible to work in the UK.
  • Food safety certification is a plus.
