Job Description: As a Data Analyst at Google Canada’s Calgary office, you will play a key role in leveraging data to drive business insights and decision-making. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to analyze large datasets, develop reports and dashboards, and provide actionable recommendations to optimize performance and achieve business objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights that drive business value.
- Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and data visualizations to communicate key metrics and performance indicators.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define data requirements, design experiments, and analyze results.
- Conduct ad-hoc analysis to support business inquiries and strategic initiatives.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation to streamline data workflows and enhance efficiency.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in data analysis and visualization.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or related field. Master’s degree preferred.
- Proven experience in data analysis, preferably in a technology or digital marketing environment.
- Proficiency in SQL for data querying and manipulation.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Google Data Studio.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to present findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Self-motivated with a proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous learning.
