Position Overview:

As an Academy Scout at Brighton & Hove Albion, you will be responsible for identifying promising football talents within the designated region. You will play a crucial role in the club’s player recruitment process, contributing to the development of the academy.

Responsibilities:

• Talent Identification: Attend local matches, tournaments, and events to identify young football talents with the potential to join the academy.
• Player Assessment: Evaluate players based on technical skills, tactical understanding, physical attributes, and overall football potential.
• Networking: Build and maintain relationships with local clubs, coaches, and other football stakeholders to stay informed about emerging talents.
• Scouting Reports: Compile detailed scouting reports on identified players, providing comprehensive insights to the academy staff.
• Collaboration: Work closely with the academy coaching and recruitment teams to align scouting efforts with the club’s development objectives.

Qualifications:

• Football Expertise: In-depth knowledge of football and a keen understanding of player development.
• Scouting Experience: Previous experience in football scouting, especially at the youth level, is preferred.
• Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively and provide clear and concise scouting reports.
• Networking: Strong networking skills to connect with local football communities.
