Job Description:

We are currently seeking a Customer Service Assistant to join our team at the Barnstaple store. As a Customer Service Assistant, you will play a key role in delivering excellent customer service and ensuring that our customers have a positive shopping experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Greeting customers and providing friendly, helpful assistance throughout their shopping journey.
  • Operating the checkout process efficiently, including scanning items, processing payments, and handling cash transactions.
  • Restocking shelves and ensuring that merchandise is neatly organized and displayed.
  • Assisting customers with locating products and answering any questions they may have about our products or services.
  • Handling customer inquiries and resolving any issues or complaints in a professional and timely manner.
  • Maintaining cleanliness and tidiness in the store, including cleaning spills and emptying trash bins.
  • Following company policies and procedures, including health and safety guidelines, at all times.
Requirements:
  • Previous retail or customer service experience is preferred but not essential.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask.
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
