Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled and proactive Counsel – Monitorship Liaison to join our legal team. This role is remote, but candidates should be based in or near New York, NY, to facilitate occasional in-person meetings and collaboration. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in legal compliance and regulatory matters, with specific experience in handling monitorships. You will play a crucial role in liaising with external monitors and ensuring that Binance adheres to all regulatory requirements and best practices.

Responsibilities:

• Act as the primary point of contact between Binance and external monitors.
• Ensure compliance with all monitorship agreements and regulatory requirements.
• Facilitate communication and information exchange between internal teams and external monitors.
• Review and analyze monitorship reports and provide actionable recommendations to senior management.
• Develop and implement compliance programs and protocols to address monitorship findings.
• Coordinate with legal, compliance, and operational teams to ensure timely and effective responses to monitorship inquiries.
• Monitor regulatory developments and advise on potential impacts to the company’s monitorship obligations.
• Prepare regular reports and updates for senior management and regulatory authorities.

Qualifications:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the bar in at least one U.S. state, with the ability to practice law in New York.
• 5+ years of experience in legal compliance, regulatory affairs, or a related field, with specific experience in handling monitorships.
• Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and compliance best practices in the financial services or cryptocurrency industry.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in legal research tools and compliance software.
• Must be legally eligible to work in the USA.
