Job Title: Amazon Fulfilment Associate
Location: Barnsley, South Yorkshire
Type: Full-Time/Part-Time
Salary: £11.00 per hour (starting wage, including shift premium where applicable)

About the Role:

Amazon is seeking energetic and self-motivated individuals to join our team as Fulfillment Associates at our state-of-the-art Fulfillment Center in Barnsley. As a Fulfillment Associate, you will play a key role in ensuring that customer orders are fulfilled efficiently and accurately. This is a fast-paced environment where attention to detail and a commitment to safety are essential.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Picking and Packing: Accurately pick items from inventory and pack them for shipment to customers.
  • Stowing: Place incoming inventory into appropriate locations within the warehouse.
  • Sorting: Sort packages based on destination and type for efficient dispatch.
  • Quality Control: Inspect items for defects and ensure that packaging meets Amazon’s high standards.
  • Operating Equipment: Safely operate material handling equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks (training provided).
  • Maintaining Safety Standards: Adhere to all safety guidelines and contribute to maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
  • Meeting Productivity Targets: Work as part of a team to meet daily and weekly performance goals.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Physical Stamina: Ability to stand/walk for 10-12 hours and lift/move items up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
  • Attention to Detail: Ensure accuracy in all tasks, particularly when it comes to picking and packing orders.
  • Team Player: Work well with others and communicate effectively to achieve team goals.
  • Reliability: Punctuality and consistent attendance are critical.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
