Role: AI Development Team Intern

Engage in projects at Tesla’s Newcastle office, focusing on renewable energy solutions powered by AI. Newcastle is a beacon for scientific research and innovation, offering a vibrant learning environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in designing and developing large-scale machine learning models.
  • Work closely with senior engineers and researchers to optimize algorithms and improve model performance.
  • Implement machine learning techniques to solve problems related to computer vision, natural language processing, and robotics.
  • Participate in the collection, cleaning, and manipulation of large datasets.
  • Contribute to the deployment of AI models into production environments.
  • Engage in code reviews and maintain high code quality standards.

Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or a related field.
  • Strong programming skills in Python and familiarity with machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch.
  • Previous experience with data structures, algorithms, and software engineering best practices.
  • An enthusiastic learner, willing to tackle complex problems and take initiative on new projects.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
