Burnley Football Club is seeking an enthusiastic and organized individual to join our academy team as an Academy Support Officer. This role will provide essential administrative and operational support to ensure the smooth running of our academy program. If you are passionate about football and have excellent organizational skills, this could be the perfect opportunity to contribute to the success of Burnley FC’s academy.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative support to the academy management team, including organizing meetings, managing schedules, and handling correspondence.
  • Assist with player registration, contracts, and other administrative tasks related to player recruitment and retention.
  • Coordinate travel arrangements and accommodation for academy teams and staff for matches, tournaments, and events.
  • Maintain accurate records and databases relating to player registrations, contracts, and other academy-related information.
  • Assist with the organization and coordination of academy events, trials, and talent identification initiatives.
  • Liaise with parents, players, and other stakeholders to provide information and support as required.
  • Manage inventory and ordering of equipment and supplies for the academy, ensuring all facilities are adequately stocked and maintained.
  • Provide general administrative support to the academy coaching and support staff as needed.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in an administrative role, preferably within a sports or football environment.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to maintain records and databases effectively.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise with a range of stakeholders including players, parents, and staff.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required, particularly during match days and academy events.
  • Passion for football and a commitment to supporting the development of young players.
