Bournemouth Football Club is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our scouting team as an Academy Scout. As an integral part of our youth development program, you will play a key role in identifying and recruiting talented young players to help shape the future of our club.

Responsibilities:

• Attend local matches, tournaments, and grassroots events to identify and assess potential talent for the club’s academy.
• Build and maintain relationships with local youth clubs, schools, and other football organizations to establish a network of contacts for player recruitment.
• Evaluate players based on technical ability, tactical awareness, physical attributes, and psychological characteristics.
• Provide detailed scouting reports and recommendations to the academy coaching staff on prospective players.
• Collaborate with the academy coaching team to coordinate trial opportunities and player assessments.
• Keep abreast of developments in youth football and scouting techniques to ensure the club remains competitive in player recruitment.

Requirements:

• Passion for football and a strong understanding of player development pathways.
• Previous experience in talent identification and scouting, preferably within a football club or academy environment.
• Excellent observational and analytical skills, with the ability to assess players objectively and accurately.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with players, coaches, and parents.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to attend matches and events as required.
• Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle for travel to scouting assignments.
